Hey there fellow humans!  My name is Amanda and I go by any pronouns . I grew up in Montreal Canada but my origins are Grenadian. When I am not sleeping you may find me reading a book , studying some foreign language or doing one of the many arts. I like to consider myself a knowledge-o-holic. I am curious about everything. People especially fascinate  me and I hope to one day be a psychologist.

Throughout the workshop,  I have learned many new things. The biggest lesson however was that the climate issue expands to more than just the surface level. It can be broken down into an iceberg . There is a whole system behind it and it starts from our systems and ideologies and finishes with the big disaster such as global warming and increasing sea levels.  The climate issue is a social problem and a political problem and no matter what walk of life you are from you are affected by the climate issue. That is why I find it so important because we are all affected. 

The easiest way to support people like me is to hear our message and spread the word. Simply hearing us out is one of the simplest ways. The main issue with the climate issue is that people are waiting to act or do not see their individual role as pertinent. I know people who do not care about the climate problems because they do not see immediate consequences in their life.But acknowledging is the first way to break down the core of the climate issue iceberg. Secondly another easy way is to not be passive. Become an educator in your community and actively try to partake in simple eco friendly behaviours. Avoid single use plastic , support local business or recycle.All those little habits if done collectively will lead to big chances. In short , just try to be attentive and educate others on the importance of protecting our planet. Remember we only get one planet so let us not cause our own extinction.

The world is becoming corrupted and polluted. The mistakes of the past casting a dark mist over the future. Eventually the  sky will be  raining dust and rivers will turn to sludge. The heavenly guardians of paradise are  all falling one by one as the greedy hands of industry giants crush them under their feet and  the common folk laugh as they unknowingly knowingly feed the problem with their passivity . In this soon to be desolate land, who remains  to save us all ? From a seed of hope  will blossom a beautiful girl. She came to heal the wounds of the world. She, being armed with the errors of the past will come to cure the world at last. The children of the future will save us all and we too may contribute . By spreading the word , changing our habits and being active in our community. From one seed many plants can be grown. So let us rise up against the machine and reclaim the world. Fight for what’s right. And free ourselves from our negative habits. For if not our planet will suffer. And the human race will also wither away.
